National Association of Insurance Women’s Week

WHEREAS, the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) is dedicated to the professional development of their members through educational programs and networking opportunities; and

 

WHEREAS, the diverse membership of NAIW and its local affiliates provides mentors, role models and information that insurance professionals need to succeed, and the motivation and support that insurance professionals need to accomplish their career goals; and

  

WHEREAS, NAIW is one of the nation’s most dynamic professional development organizations, with a wide array of activities and programs designed to enhance the personal effectiveness and growth of insurance professionals; and

WHEREAS, both national and local organizations continually strive to raise the standards of ethics, consumer education and customer service throughout the insurance industry; and

WHEREAS, both national and local organizations are engaged in charitable causes that enhance communities throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico; and

WHEREAS, constituting for more than fifty percent of those employed in the insurance industry, NAIW has been recognized for its many accomplishments in this economically vital field; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim May 15-May 21, 2011, as

National Association of Insurance Women’s Week

in the state of the Alabama and  urge all citizens to show their support and respect to the women who are performing important and diverse roles throughout the insurance and risk management industry.
