National Forgiveness Day
WHEREAS, the Center for Unconditional Love, based in Liberty Center, Ohio, is dedicated to creating awareness of the power of love and the joy of forgiveness; and
WHEREAS, the benefits of forgiveness include improved health, happiness and a less stressful lifestyle within home, work and worship environments; and
WHEREAS, removing bitterness from our hearts and forgiving others is essential to living a healthy, happy life; and
WHEREAS, true love and harmony may only exist in the hearts of each citizen if damaged relationships are repaired; and
WHEREAS, during the Center for Unconditional Love’s 50 Days of Forgiveness, September 11, 2011 through October 30, 2011, citizens of Alabama are encouraged to join others across the nation in spreading a message of love and forgiveness:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim October 9, 2011, as
National Forgiveness Day
in the State of the Alabama.
