Health Care Educator Week

WHEREAS, health care educators in Alabama improve the quality of education and training of health care personnel by fostering professional development; and

WHEREAS, health care educators are dedicated to better patient care through the provision of excellent on-going staff education and training, which is crucial to maintaining a competent workforce; and

WHEREAS, health care educators play a critical role in identifying trends and issues in the healthcare delivery system that need to be instilled in health care personnel in order to continue to improve on the care provided to an ever-changing population; and

WHEREAS, through the coordination and strategic initiatives of the health care educator, hospitals and other health care providers, individual and institutional goals can be achieved in the face of critical staffing challenges and monetary constraints:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim October 2 through 8, 2011, as

Health Care Educator Week

in the State of Alabama and pay tribute to the many men and women who provide the critical education and training that ensures a safe and effective health care delivery system for the citizens of our state.
