Clyde the Turkey

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

It having been made to appear to the Governor of the State of Alabama that

Clyde the Turkey

was convicted of being a big, delicious looking turkey in November and thereby sentenced to death and subsequent service at Thanksgiving dinner.

AND, it further appearing to the Governor from information filed showing evidence of Petitioner’s innocence, which is part of the record in this case, that the above named Petitioner should be pardoned.

AND, it being made known to the Governor that the Petitioner was pardoned earlier this year by Mother Nature.

NOW, in compliance with the authority vested in the Governor of the State of Alabama by the Constitution and the Laws of the State of Alabama to grant pardons to Thanksgiving turkeys, it is

ORDERED that a pardon be granted to the above named turkey as a result of the above stated conviction(s), and it is further ordered that all barnyard rights which were forfeited as a result of the aforesaid conviction(s) are hereby restored.
