Tim Tebow – Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama Day

WHEREAS,  Tim Tebow has joined with the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama (CWFCA) to enhance their efforts to ensure cancer patients receive the medical care required to fight cancer; and

WHEREAS, cancer will claim the lives of an estimated 10,290 people in Alabama this year; and

WHEREAS, the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama, through voluntary contributions, is dedicated to assisting cancer patients with transportation, medication and other social services to insure they have the necessary resources to fight their disease; and

WHEREAS, CWFCA maintains an office in Montgomery, Alabama to support patients with cancer and their family members in Central Alabama; and

WHEREAS, the state of Alabama is similarly committed to affording all cancer patients access to the medication and transportation vital to their fight against this disease and supports the treatment of its citizens who suffer from cancer; and

WHEREAS, the state of Alabama encourages private efforts to enhance funding and education programs to address this disease:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim March 16, 2012, as

Tim Tebow – Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama Day

in the state of Alabama, and in an effort to improve the accessibility of medication, transportation and other social services to cancer patients in Central Alabama encourage participation in voluntary activities to support efforts to avail all cancer patients of treatment and the subsequent possibility of a cure.
