Alabama Healthcare Educator Week

WHEREAS, healthcare educators in Alabama improve the quality of education and training of health care personnel in Alabama by fostering professional development; and

WHEREAS, healthcare educators are dedicated to better patient care through the provision of excellent ongoing staff education and training, which is crucial to maintaining a competent workforce; and

WHEREAS, healthcare educators play a critical role in identifying trends and issues in the healthcare delivery system that need to be instilled in health care personnel in order to continue to improve on the care provided to an ever-changing population; and

WHEREAS, through the coordination and strategic initiatives of the healthcare educator, hospitals and other health care providers can achieve individual and institutional goals in the face of critical staffing challenges and monetary constraints:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim the week of October 1 through October 7, 2012 as

Alabama Healthcare Educator Week

in the state of the Alabama.
