The First National Bank of Brundidge Financial Literacy Day

WHEREAS, EverFi, Inc., a leading education technology company focused on financial literacy, has developed a web-based program to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation; and

WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Brundidge is Pike County’s oldest locally owned community bank and strives to give back to its communities through educating its youth on the importance of financial matters through programs such as its high school senior outreach program and its affiliation with the Pike County Schools Business and Finance Academy ; and

WHEREAS, the Financial Literacy learning platform is a joint collaboration with EverFi, Inc. and local schools and organizations to teach, assess and certify students in financial literacy using the latest new media tools including Level 4 simulations, avatars, gaming and adaptive-pathing; and

WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Brundidge was introduced to EverFi, Inc. by Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer III and an endorsement of the Community Bankers Association of Alabama; and

WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Brundidge has partnered with EverFi, Inc. to bring the interactive financial management program to its six local area high schools including Goshen High School, Pike County High School, Charles Henderson High School, Pike Liberal Arts School, Ariton High School and Zion Chapel High School for the next three years at no cost to the school; and

WHEREAS, The First National Bank of Brundidge in Brundidge, Alabama will celebrate 108 years of serving its customers and its communities on October 15, 2012; founded by James T. Ramage in 1904, The First National Bank is led today by his great-grandson, Mayor James T. Ramage III who exemplifies the qualities of a servant leader:

in the state of Alabama.
