Governor Bentley Undergoes Minor Medical Procedure
TUSCALOOSA – Governor Robert Bentley underwent minor hernia repair surgery Tuesday morning in Tuscaloosa.
The hernia was detected at an early stage of development. Governor Bentley opted to have the repair procedure at this time prior to his upcoming economic development trip to Japan. The outpatient surgery was performed laparoscopically and was a success.
While the procedure has curtailed the Governor’s immediate travel schedule, he is expected to resume a working schedule within 24 hours. Governor Bentley is recovering in Tuscaloosa and is expected to return to Montgomery in the coming days.
