Mustang Day

WHEREAS, the Ford Mustang has been America’s number one Pony Car since its introduction on April 17, 1964; and

WHEREAS, in the last 50 years, more than ten million Mustangs have been sold; and

WHEREAS, in Central Alabama, the Tri County Mustang Club, the Heart of Dixie Mustang Club and the River Region Mustang club are dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Mustangs from 1965 to the present; and

WHEREAS, on April 17, 2014 the Ford Mustang will celebrate its 50^th Anniversary:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim April 17, 2014, as

Mustang Day

in the state of Alabama.
