National Nursing Home Week

WHEREAS, the citizens of Alabama now residing in nursing homes have contributed immeasurably to the heritage, success and growth of our state; and

WHEREAS, our nursing home residents of any age or ability are themselves living history and a precious resource that should be treasured by all Alabamians; and

WHEREAS, the staff and volunteers in nursing homes help residents live life to their fullest potential by providing a holistic approach to long term care; and

WHEREAS, the member nursing homes of the Alabama Nursing Home Association are holding events in observance of National Nursing Home Week guided by this year’s national theme of “Bring on the Fiesta;” and

WHEREAS, 2015 is the 48^th Anniversary of National Nursing Home Week:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of the State of Alabama, do hereby proclaim May 10 through May 16, 2015, as

National Nursing Home Week

in the state of Alabama.
