EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER 10

WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 31-2-41 and Section 31-2-77, Code of Alabama (1975), authorize the Governor of Alabama to establish additional Alabama medals and decorations upon the recommendation of the Adjutant General of the State;

WHEREAS, members of the Alabama National Guard willingly and selflessly serve at the call of our Governor;

WHEREAS, members of the Alabama National Guard who are non-recruiting staff personnel provide an invaluable service to the Great State of Alabama through numerous activities which display their exceptional professionalism and encourage recruiting efforts to fill vacant positions in the Alabama National Guard; and

WHEREAS, the Adjutant General recommends the establishment of an award to be designated as the Alabama National Guard Lead Generation Ribbon to honor non-recruiting members of the Alabama National Guard who excel at recruiting efforts.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of the State of Alabama, upon the recommendation of the Adjutant General and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Alabama, find, declare and order that the Alabama National Guard Lead Generation Ribbon be established to recognize and reward those non-recruiting members of the Alabama National Guard who excel at recruiting efforts.  Award of this ribbon, criteria for the award, and the order of precedence is delegated to the Adjutant General of the Alabama National Guard.
