Bill Signing for Winston’s Law

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley signs Winston’s Law (SB23) in his office at the Capitol in Montgomery. Winston’s Law makes aggravated child abuse a Class-A Felony for children under six and punishable by life in prison and a $60,000 fine. Winston’s Law was named after an Elmore County child whose mother has been indicted on charges for chemical endangerment of a child and aggravated child abuse. (Governor’s Office, Daniel Sparkman)
