Histotechnology Day
Proclamation
By the Governor of Alabama
WHEREAS, the profession of Histotechnology is a vital laboratory discipline of medical science in Pathology; and
WHEREAS, the skill, talent and work performed by the Histotechnicians and Histotechnologists greatly benefit patient care; and
WHEREAS, the highly trained and dedicated Histotechnicians and Histotechnologists make an invaluable contribution to the quality health care by providing the necessary slide preparations and assays required for the detection, prevention and treatment of disease; and
WHEREAS, the Histotechnicians and Histotechnologists work diligently with pathologists, residents and physicians, our customers in patient care who greatly depend upon our daily work; and
WHEREAS, the present educational training provides the knowledge of advanced methods and state of the art techniques to enhance the quality of medical care:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert Bentley, Governor of Alabama, do hereby proclaim March 10, 2016 as
Histotechnology Day
in the State of Alabama.
